Fast shipping of well packed product, in brand-new condition bring your child their very own EAS in short order, and make Ohio Art the place to go for this wonderful toy. I for one am tired of buying from Amazon sellers who send damaged items, then blame the USPS for “rough handeling”. They take no responsibility for their having sent you a damaged item, or packed it so poorly that normal bouncng during shipment damaged the item. Then there are those who blame YOU for substituting a broken item for their “perfect” item, and trying yo “SCAM” them. Do yourself a favor. Before buying from any Seller here at Amazon, read through their history. You will be enlightened by the buyer comments, and the sometimes violent, verbally abusive, rebuttals from less than stable Sellers.
Amazon does their best to take the sting out of this type of experience, but in the end, you’ve been hassled, insulted, and had to pack and send back the product, at your own expence, to a quite often, angry and abusive seller who hates you for giving them less than high marks for their unprofessional business dealings and attitude.
Avoid the problem. Buy from Ohio Art, they’re great people to deal with! I bought my 4 year old Daughter both the travel, and regular Etch A Sketch models when her ancient Travel Etch A Sketch gave up the ghost, and expired. Ohio Art even offered to repair or replace the defunct EAS at NO CHARGE! I refused their kind offer because my Daughter’s EAS had been a “hand me down”. The new ones Took 72 hours to arrive, and they arrived in beautiful shape, wrapped in bubble-wrap and paper, then packed securly in a 200lb test corrugated cardboard box, and I paid less than what the sellers are asking for here.
Some Amazon sellers do not have a firm grasp of reality. Nor do they even consider that you might look to the manufacturer to see their pricing. I don’t think some of them even look at the page where they’ve listed their items. E.G.: a page can show a NEW item for $[...] and an identicle, USED “Collectible” item for $[...], or $[...]. Amazing what the word “Collectible” can do in the mind of some Sellers!

This furniture was bought for an old dollhouse my Grandfather and Mom made for me when I was just 5 or so (and now, I hate to admit my age, but I’m 41) The craftsmanship of this furniture is really incredible, and the price is unbeliveable for the quality of toy you’re getting. I’m telling all my friends who have children about your product and that they should buy it as well! I have two little boys, ages 5 1/2 yrs old and 23 months, and they love it just the same! They don’t always play with the little people I purchased to go with it, but Batman and Spiderman love it just the same 
. If you’re a parent or just someone looking to purchase a toy for a child for Christmas, a Birthday or whatever the occasion, it’s really hard to find something that is affordable, something that doesn’t have a million pieces to put together and won’t break in the first hour that your child plays with it. How about an actual product review?
This book features a story about Snow White, one about Cinderella and one about Ariel. The Snow White story involves the princess and the dwarfs helping a deer remove a thorn from its paw. The Cinderella story is about her getting ready for the ball. The Ariel story is about her going off to explore the shipwreck but returning in time for the concert.
Ina ddition to the stories, there are several games in the book, all age-appropriate. The final page is a simple game involving all three princesses and scenes/objects from their stories.
The educational value in the book is in reading, reading comprehension, vocabulary building, etc. If you’re familiar w/ LeapPad books, you’ll find this one in keeping with their usual standard. A nice choice for the preschool set; it would be nice if more LeapPad books were aimed at this level.

This book is definately different than the Movie…and the voices are not the same either. But aside from that, it’s great! McQueen and Mater go tractor tipping…..and run into trouble. That’s the good part. The great part is the back. The words you need to put together. Like pothole, firehouse…it really makes my son think. I like that. Plus other games throughout the story are fun too.

This is GREAT!! I already had seen one in a mall in New Mexico. It goes through batteries to I hooked up a 5v DC cord to it. THE THING DID NOT STOP FOR A WEEK. When it finally did, it was due to the gloss finish of the black stand being wore down to a dull state which caused more friction with the top and ultimately undermined it’s stability. I’m sure this won’t happen for a long time if you use batteries like you’re supposed to.
I don’t think you can go wrong with this toy. WE LOVE IT!!!

My kiddos are 2 yrs (twins). Its a perfect size for their little hands and aside from creativity, it helps with dexterity and coordination. The education aspect of it was a surprise… as I use it to draw images for them (like shapes & animals) and they take much more interest than if I were just showing them pictures in a book. They love to take the pen and try and mock my lines. They also love hearing explanations about the things that Ive drawn. So… great, durable toy. Ill buy the larger version when their hands grow-up.

James was the first battery powered Thomas train we bought for our 2 year old son. He takes a single “AA” battery, which is installed by unscrewing a single screw on the bottom, and lifting the body of the train off. When you push the button on the top, he comes to life, moving at a surprisingly fast clip, and his lantern glows brightly. The great thing about the battery powered trains is that they are perfectly capable of being played with without power, and as long as the button is not pushed down (even without battery), the wheels roll freely. If you have the button on, the wheels will lock up and grind when you try to free-wheel it. Just something to be aware of.
All of the battery powered trains are built the same way, and they are all die cast metal instead of wood (with the exception of the tender car, if the train has one like James). This adds considerable weight to the train, and if dropped (or worse, thrown), really can hurt. So be aware if you have a temperamental engineer!
The speed of the engine with a fresh battery may pose some problems when navigating particularly curvy or technical track layouts, but with guidance does just fine.
Another thing to be aware of is that if you use track other than the Thomas track with the traction etched into it, these engines may have some difficulty going up steep hills. We have a few pieces of track from other random sets (like Brio), and sometimes the train won’t make it up and over a hill depending on how big of a load they are carrying and how new a battery is in there.
I have not experienced that they make my son “lazy” about pushing his other trains, as some other reviewers have noted, but of course, all children are different. He really enjoys the hands on approach, and even when James or his other battery powered engines are going on their own, he gently keeps a finger or two on them constantly!
Overall these are really fun additions to the set.
